Typewriter!
The typewriter was first made on July 23, 1829 by a man named William Austin Burt. There were not many inventions that lead to the typewriter. Henry miller had made a typewriter like machine in 1714 but is no where near as helpful as the typewriter. The early typewriter's keys struck upwards on the paper so the writer could not see what was being written. There were many typewriter prototypes, one example is the Hansen Writing Ball. The Hansen Writing Ball was the first typewriter to be made commercially in 1870, more than a whole decade ago. One of the first typewriters was made by a man named Francesco Razzettto in 1575.

Samuel Slocum invented a pin maker today known as the stapler. The pin that Samuel invented eventually was improved to a flat head pin and then a staple that we use in every day life today. The pins were not used or made to fasten pieces of paper together but actually to package sewing pins quickly.
